Premier Feathers Luxury with feathers from the Harry Winston

What materials are not only used for decoration of dials watchmakers - stone, paper, dust, insects, wire, meteorites and a host of other, more innovative and components. Not far behind their colleagues and the company Harry Winston, who presented a new collection of ladies' watches Premier Feathers Luxury («Luxury Feather"), dials are decorated with grown specifically for this purpose feathers of exotic birds.



In cooperation with Saunier Nelly (Nelly Saunier), in a fluent technique decorative feathers, four models were created, decorated with appliques of peacock feathers, and three species of pheasants - an ordinary, silver and diamond.


Working with such a fragile material requires not just skill, and this virtuosity. Feathers are specially farmed birds are selected with great care. Most interesting are used whole or cut, after which they were impregnated with glue on the back side and then placed on the surface of the dial with a magnifying glass that helps to place them with the necessary accuracy. In the design of a clock face takes about 7 hours.


In order not to detract from the beautiful pictures on the dials of watches are only the hour and minute hands, and there is no index. Shell diameter of 36 mm are made of 18K white or rose gold and encrusted with 66 diamonds weighing a 45 carat.
